About Flame Arrestors - Eagle Safety Cans have double-walled
brass flame arrestors

Hot air entering the can is cooled as it passes through the arrestor

The arrestors absorb and dissipate the heat, keeping the vapor
temperature below its ignition (flash) point - another reason for
using Eagle Safety Cans for temporary storage of gasoline or
other flammable liquids
